PİLEVNELİ IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE REPRESENTATION OF KEVIN FRANCIS GRAY!

PİLEVNELİ is happy to announce the representation of Kevin Francis Gray!

Kevin Francis Gray, known for his distinctive approach to Italian marble, redefines the relationship between abstraction, figuration, and portraiture beyond the confines of classical sculptural traditions. He transforms marble’s inherent qualities—its hardness, stillness, and coldness—into compelling attributes, unlocking the possibilities within the material. His sculptures achieve a seamless balance between concave and convex movements, challenging perceptions of marble as rigid or static.

Born in 1972 in Armagh, Northern Ireland, Gray studied at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Goldsmiths, University of London. His sculptures have been exhibited in venues such as the Royal Academy in London, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, and the Museo d’Arte Contemporanea in Saint-Étienne. Gray lives and works between London and Pietrasanta.
