Refik Anadol's “Casa Batlló: Living Architecture” will be exhibited outside of Rockefeller Plaza as part of "Christie's 20th / 21st Century Marquee Week" starting on April 30, 2022.
The artwork will meet with art lovers simultaneously at Casa Batlló in Barcelona on May 7, 2022, three days before the auction evening. The auction will be broadcasted live at New York on May 10, 2022.
“Casa Batlló: Living Architecture” reinterprets the real-time data of the building's façade. The dynamic NFT is not only the only digital artwork offered at Christie's 21st Century Evening Sale, but also pioneers in transforming a UNESCO world heritage site into NFT format for the first time. The work will be open to bidding with an estimate of 1,000,000-2,000,000 US dollars. 10% of the proceeds from the sale of the work will be donated to the Associació Aprenem Autisme and Fundació Adana foundations.
