Lal Batman is an artist who merges various disciplines, including video art, digital manipulation, oil, design and sculpture, to create multilayered works. Her art explores the boundaries of courage and fear, imbuing abstract memories that drift in space with physical weight and making them enduring. While her approach is cinematic, she deliberately avoids linear narratives, crafting her compositions around a veil of unsettling discomfort. The timeless and placeless essence of her works is further enhanced by her diverse use of media.

Born in 2001 in Bursa, Lal Batman studied at Zeki Müren Fine Arts High School before pursuing a degree in Plastic and Fine Arts at Yeditepe University. She has participated in numerous curatorial projects, fairs, workshops, and panels across Europe, Asia, and South America. At Zonamaco 2023, her solo booth was recognized by Art News as one of the top ten booths of the fair. Batman participated in the New Lands exhibition, curated by Necmi Sönmez, at Arkas Art. Her selected solo exhibitions include Cherry On Top, Bodrum, Turkey (2024), Positions, Berlin, Germany (2024), The Floor is Lava, Düsseldorf, Germany (2023)  and Entaracte, Belgrade, Serbia (2022).
