Frank Nitsche has developed a sophisticated visual language by stacking layers of paint and creating precise forms with the intersecting lines. His geometric patterns, lines and forms resemble construction plans, technical models, design, calligraphy, and computer programs. Nitsche uses his wide visual archive which he borrows from the media, pop, and consumer culture in order to produce his abstract compositions. Most of his works are produced on pastel khaki, blue, or green canvases.
Frank Nitsche was born in 1964 in Görlitz, Germany. He competed his BFA and MFA at Hochschule für Bildende Kunste, Dresden.
Frank Nitsche lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
